THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM:
Vertebrate animals, as our beloved pets, possess an endocannabinoid system. Formed by the CB1 and CB2 receptors. With the presence of cannabinoids in the body, these receptors respond in a very similar manner as they do in humans. It is believed that the same benefits can be obtained. As a result the CB1 receptor focus its activity in the brain and the central nervous system (CNS). On the other hand CB2 receptor is located in the peripheral organs, such as the immune system.
